Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Our quick and easy method to make the perfect jerk chicken

Instructions

Set the oven to 250°C. Cut the chicken into nicely sized pieces (legs and thighs).
Score the chicken on both sides and rub small amounts of the Jamaica Sun Jerk Seasoning paste.
Likewise, sprinkle the Tropical Sun Jerk Seasoning powder over the chicken making sure both are rubbed into the slits.
Place the chicken on a tray then cook in the oven.
After 25 minutes, check the chicken by putting a knife through the thickest part of the chicken. If the chicken is not white then leave it a while longer.
Serve with rice and peas.

I tried this recipe to impress my girlfriend and it did the trick. She really feels I went to a lot of trouble to learn up on how to cook and get the ingredients. (I didnt mention the wbesite!). Made a complete mess of my apron, but it was worth the effort.

I make this for my family every Friday nite and it hits the spot each time. My little ones prefer theres less spicy, so I only use a little paste for there bits, but hubby likes it hot! Its also nice put a few drops of lime on. I love it and need more ideas of how else I can use it.
