As one of the UK’s most passionate Champions of Rice, we love a good National Rice Week get-together.
The sun was out and the rice was flowing as we welcomed several esteemed guests for our international rice tasting event showcasing Aunty Debi’s Nigerian style Jollof Rice, Chef Gayle’s Jamaican Style Rice & Peas and Rajan Caterers’ Indian style pulao rice, all made with one of our most popular rice products: Tropical Sun USA Easy Cook Rice.
Joining our team were USA Rice Association’s Dee Casey and local councillors Christine Hamilton: Deputy Mayor for Enfield, Kate Anolue: Former Mayor of Enfield and Sanchia Alasia: Former Mayor of Barking & Dagenham. The councillors were all truly impressed with the international cuisines, particularly with the versatility of the rice itself, commenting how surprisingly different each dish was to the next. We are truly honoured to have such respected local councillors join us at our humble event and we look forward to working closely with them on local community projects in the near future.
